TAKING THE STANDARD TO NEW HEIGHTS
The Timken 61MM Dual Absolute Position Magnetic Encoder elevates the resolution of magnetic encoders. Offering reliable performance at an economical price, it features resolutions up to 19 bits. This encoder presents a superior alternative to other absolute position technologies. Its patented dual sensor technology ensures high accuracy in environments subject to high temperatures, shocks, vibrations, and in applications requiring high data speed, all without the need for recalibration.
HOW IT WORKS
Our dual sensor design compensates for target-to-chip misalignment. The encoder’s configuration includes two opposing sensor chips (patent pending), which combine and average signals to enhance accuracy and reliability. Thanks to its high electrical noise immunity, the encoder operates effectively in areas with potential electric and magnetic interference.
WHY CHOOSE THE 61 MM DUAL ABS?
The 61MM Dual Absolute Position Magnetic Encoder includes electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection circuitry. Unlike other magnetic encoders, its patented differential magnetic sensor circuit design safeguards against interfering magnetic fields. This kit type encoder is ideal for various applications, including frameless type servomotor positioning, collaborative robots (cobots), and other robotic applications.
FLEXIBLE DESIGN
The encoder’s design accommodates higher mechanical tolerances and a wider air gap, making it suitable for compact joints. This flexibility, coupled with increased mechanical tolerance, allows the product to operate with precision throughout an extended lifecycle.
Common Applications
The 61MM Dual ABS is versatile and can be utilized in a wide range of applications, including:
- Collaborative Robots (Cobots): Enhances precision in robotics working alongside humans.
- Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs): Provides accurate positioning to help navigate complex environments.
- Kit Servo Motors: Ideal for precise motion control in custom-built motors.
- Gimbals: Ensures stable and accurate control in camera stabilization systems.
ROBOTIC JOINT INCREMENTAL ENCODER APPLICATIONS
Applications for robotic joints include using an incremental input side encoder. These encoders feature a hollow shaft design for integration with the joint hollow shaft motor.
